ibnchannel.id – The world of literacy and graphic arts has gained a new dimension from Indonesia through the participation of Cahyati Press, an independent publisher from Bali, in the LA Art Book Fair 2025 held in Pasadena (May 15–18).
One of the founders of Cahyati Press, Syarafina Vidyadhana, introduced a variety of creative print works, including comics, novels, and zines titled Some Type of Love, Ruminations, and a cookbook titled Pedas. These products successfully captured the attention of visitors with their strong artistic design and fresh narratives.
Quoting kemlu.go.id, Saturday 24 May 2025, Cahyati Press’ booth received a positive reception, not only from general visitors but also from several international bookstores interested in establishing distribution partnerships. The hand-illustrated comics with intricate details were one of the main highlights during the exhibition.
The Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Los Angeles, Purnomo A. Chandra, expressed his appreciation for Cahyati Press’ active participation in representing the spirit and creativity of Indonesia’s creative industry players. “Initiatives like this are crucial to strengthening Indonesia’s position in the global creative arena,” he said.
This year, the LA Art Book Fair 2025 was attended by 209 publishers from various countries and attracted around 14,000 visitors, making it one of the most prestigious events for independent publishers and book artists worldwide.***
