ibnchannel.id – The Denpasar City Government held a series of Pujawali at Pura Luhur Uluwatu at Anggarakasih Medangsia, Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
Mixing with the pemedek and the community who were holding the ceremony, the Deputy Mayor of Denpasar, I Kadek Agus Arya Wubawa was accompanied by the Penglingsir of Puri Agung Jro Kuta, I Gusti Ngurah Jaka Pratidnya. After carrying out the bhakti pujawali, Deputy Mayor Arya Wibawa was seen following the mulang pakelem procession in the Uluwatu Temple Beach Area.
Accompanied by the sound of gamelan and kidung, the implementation of the pujawali took place solemnly. People came one after another to attend the ngaturang bhakti. Starting with the call to the Wali Mask, the series of pujawali ended with a joint prayer led by Ida Pedanda Gede Sari Arimbawa, Griya Tegal Sari Denpasar and Ida Pedanda Gede Isana Manuaba, Griya Lebah Abiansemal, Badung.
The Panglingsir of Puri Agung Jro Kuta as the Caretaker of the Luhur Uluwatu Temple, I Gusti Ngurah Jaka Pratidnya who is familiarly called Turah Joko accompanied by the Head of Pecatu Traditional Village, I Wayan Sumerta said that the series of pujawali events began with the procession of nedunang Ida Bhatara Dewa Agung Sakti from the Pererepan Temple of Pecatu Traditional Village which then headed to the Luhur Uluwatu Temple. Then continued with the ngaturang pujawali procession at the Luhur Uluwatu Temple.
Jaka Pratidnya further added, after the pujawali, on Wednesday (14/5) to Friday (16/5) it will be continued with consecutive penganyar devotions from the North Kuta District and Kuta District. Meanwhile, the pensineban will be carried out by the South Kuta District together with the Pecatu Traditional Village and Puri Agung Jro Kuta.
“By carrying out srada bhakti before Ida Hyang Widhi Wasa, astungkara hopefully all people in Bali in particular and Indonesia in general will be kept away from danger and given strength and safety so that all people can be rahayu, and the balance of the universe is maintained,” said Turah Joko while emphasizing that the implementation of the pujawali at Pura Luhur Uluwatu also minimizes the use of single-use plastic. So it is advisable not to use plastic to carry ceremonial equipment or banten.
Meanwhile, Deputy Mayor of Denpasar, I Kadek Agus Arya Wibawa said that this pujawali is a momentum for all people to always be aware and increase their devotion to Ida Sang Hyang Widi Wasa. This pujawali is also expected to be a momentum to maintain harmony between parahyangan, palemahan, and pawongan as an implementation of Tri Hita Karana.
