ibnchannel.id – The Ngurah Rai Immigration Office deported a French citizen with the initials KJB (female, 32 years old) after she was discovered working in Bali on a Visa on Arrival (VOA) that was intended for tourism purposes.
A crew from the Intelligence and Enforcement Division of Immigration (Inteldakim) carried out the deportation process on Monday, November 3, 2025, escorting KJB’s departure from the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office to I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.
Thai Airways flew KJB from Denpasar to Bangkok and then to Paris. KJB is known to work as a Sales Manager at a club in the Tibubeneng region of Badung, earning approximately 20 million rupiah. However, she was utilizing a visitor’s stay permit, sometimes known as a Visa on Arrival.
KJB admitted to utilizing a Visa on Arrival to work, citing that his KITAS was still being processed. However, this behavior still breaches Article 75 in conjunction with Article 122 letter an of Law Number 6 of 2011, which governs penalties for foreigners who abuse their stay permits.
In addition to the termination of his stay visa, KJB faces administrative immigration action, such as deportation and a temporary restriction from returning to Indonesia. Winarko, the head of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, highlighted that the agency will continue to tighten surveillance of foreign nationals’ activities in Bali.
“We are dedicated to preserving orderly immigration and upholding the law in a professional and humane manner. We will take action against any misuse of our stay permits in accordance with the rules,” he stated.
This action confirms the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office’s commitment to protecting national sovereignty and ensuring that all foreigners in Indonesia, particularly in Bali, follow applicable immigration procedures.***
