Airport Revitalization and Service Improvements

The General Manager of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Ahmad Syaugi Shahab, stated that to support the trend of passenger growth, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport will continue with the phase II revitalization program this year.

“We are preparing for the construction of a connecting gate between the international and domestic terminals to facilitate transit passengers. We will also expand the corridor area, beautify the check-in counter area, construct a connecting pier gate for the international terminal, and beautify the restrooms in both the domestic and international terminals,” said Syaugi.

He continued by saying that the growth in foreign tourist passengers to Bali indicates the increasing optimism of the tourism sector. “In line with this, we are committed to continually improving our services and facilities to make the passenger experience at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport more comfortable and memorable. The latest example is the implementation of the ‘All Indonesia’ system, which is the result of a synergy with Immigration, Customs & Excise, and the Quarantine and Border Control Agency (BBKK). We began implementing it gradually since July 2025. With ‘All Indonesia,’ the process for international passenger arrivals is faster and easier,” he concluded.***
