ibnchannel.id – The BUMN Service Volunteer Program Batch VIII 2025 was held at The Mandalika, a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) managed by InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), from August 14–18, 2025. This collaborative program with the parent company of the Aviation and Tourism SOE Holding, InJourney, carried the theme “Building Collaboration with Wholehearted Service”. The event served as a tangible manifestation of SOE synergy to deliver sustainable social contributions to communities around The Mandalika.
During the five-day program, volunteers from various SOEs across Indonesia carried out diverse activities in the fields of education, health, environment, cultural preservation, and MSME empowerment. The activities included:
- SOEs Teach, providing students with education on leadership, digital literacy, and learning motivation.
- Stunting Prevention Program, which offered nutrition counseling, child health check-ups, and the distribution of nutritious food packages.
- MSME Training, aimed at improving business capacity, digital marketing, and market access for local entrepreneurs.
- Tree Planting and Integrated Farming, to support environmental conservation and strengthen food security.
- Cultural Preservation Activities, engaging local communities through traditional art performances.
Robby Saputra, Human Capital Development & Sustainability Group Head, said:
“The BUMN Service Volunteer Program in The Mandalika aligns with InJourney’s commitment as the aviation and tourism SOE holding to bring sustainable social benefits to communities. With the theme ‘Building Collaboration with Wholehearted Service’, this is concrete proof that the presence of SOEs within society brings benefits beyond business services. Through this collaboration, we aim to leave a positive and lasting legacy for the people of Mandalika.”
Meanwhile, Zahir Satria Nugraha, Chair of the 2025 BUMN Service Volunteer Committee, added:
“Through the BUMN Service Volunteer Program, we emphasize that tourism area management must be in harmony with community empowerment, cultural preservation, and environmental care. This cross-SOE collaboration is proof that SOEs can deliver real positive impacts, strengthen community independence, and at the same time ensure the sustainability of The Mandalika as a world-class tourism destination.”
The highlight of the program was Mayalaka Night (August 17), an appreciation evening featuring artistic and cultural collaborations between volunteers and the local community. The event not only served as entertainment but also strengthened social bonds, promoted local culture, and enhanced the positive image of SOEs in the eyes of the public.
“With the successful implementation of the BUMN Service Volunteer Program Batch VIII 2025 in The Mandalika, the synergy between SOEs, local governments, and the community is expected to grow stronger in driving sustainable social, economic, and environmental development in this super-priority tourism destination,” Zahir concluded.***
