ibnchannel.id – In response to the eruptions of Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki on Friday (August 1) and Mount Lewotolok on Saturday (August 2), Ngurah Rai Airport would like to inform that operations at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport on Saturday, August 2, 2025, are running normally and smoothly. Nevertheless, the airport, along with all members of the airport community, are continuously monitoring the situation to ensure the safety and security of flight operations.
“As of Saturday (August 2) at 12:00 PM WITA, several domestic flights have experienced delays, including three Batik Air flights from Denpasar to Labuan Bajo, one Wings Air flight from Denpasar to Tambolaka, and two Lion Air flights from Denpasar to Kupang,” said General Manager Bandara I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Ahmad Syaugi Shahab, through the press release, Saturday August 2, 2025.
“In addition, one AirAsia flight from Denpasar to Labuan Bajo has been confirmed to experience a postponed departure,” he continued.
To maintain service quality and passenger comfort for those affected by delays, the airport has arranged the waiting areas and is working closely with the airlines to educate passengers about the impacted flight conditions. Airlines are also providing services for passengers who need to reschedule or request refunds.
“We will continue to actively coordinate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure that both passenger services and flight operations at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport run smoothly, and we hope that conditions will return to normal soon,” he concluded.***
