ibnchannel.id – With hundreds of participants competing and dozens of racing classes featured, the Mandalika Drag Fest 2025 once again proved itself as one of the most prestigious and thrilling racing events in Indonesia on Saturday and Sunday, July 12–13, 2025.
The straight track of the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit witnessed the intense battle of pride, speed, and performance from modified motorcycles and top riders from across the country.
More than just a speed competition, Mandalika Drag Fest serves as a platform for automotive enthusiasts to express themselves — from daily riders to expert modifiers and track champions eager to showcase their skills.
This event was initiated by MDFI and CRP99, two automotive communities officially affiliated with IMI NTB (Indonesian Motor Association of West Nusa Tenggara), and is fully supported by MGPA and InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC).
Featuring two main categories — motorcycles and cars — the event includes a total of 16 racing classes. On the first day, 20 racing teams took part, heating up the track with their speed and best techniques in classes ranging from 125cc to 200cc.
MGPA President Director Priandhi Satria emphasized that the Drag Fest is not a one-sided effort, but part of a larger ecosystem driven collaboratively.
“We highly appreciate the tremendous enthusiasm from the racers, teams, and all automotive communities participating in Mandalika Drag Fest 2025. On this second day, with over 253 participants and 20 classesbeing contested, it’s clear that drag racing holds great potential as a key part of advancing motorsports in Indonesia,” said Priandhi.
“MGPA remains committed to supporting events like this so that the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit can be more than just a venue for international races — it should also serve as a nurturing ground and creative platform for local talents. We hope today’s event runs smoothly, safely, and even more exciting,” he added.
He also stressed the importance of synergy among all stakeholders — the public, communities, industry players, MSMEs, media, and motorsport lovers — to collectively support The Mandalika as a sportainment hub that brings pride to Indonesia on the global stage.
“The Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit belongs to the Indonesian people. It is our shared responsibility to protect and develop it through professional events like Drag Fest,” Priandhi concluded.***
