ibnchannel.id – The Vice Governor of Bali, I Nyoman Giri Prasta, attended the inauguration ceremony of the Bali Provincial Board of the Indonesian Amateur Boxing Association (PERTINA) for the 2025–2029 term at Inna Sindhu, Sanur, on Wednesday (11/6).
In his speech, the Vice Governor emphasized that the Bali Provincial Government fully supports PERTINA Bali in producing successful athletes, not only at the local level but also nationally and even internationally.
He added that the government would support the provision of facilities and infrastructure needed by the athletes, especially since boxing requires strong physical endurance and mental toughness.
“Good athletes will be nurtured and supported, both in terms of infrastructure and physical training. The government fully supports the athletes so they can continue to excel,” he said.
Vice Governor Giri Prasta also welcomed the inauguration of the new provincial board of PERTINA for the 2025–2029 term, hoping that the new board members would immediately work on drafting a work program and planning the future development of the organization.
Through PERTINA, he hopes the achievements of boxing athletes will continue to improve. “The government fully supports PERTINA Bali. Through boxing, we will raise the dignity and honor of the Island of the Gods,” he said.
Challenge & Support
Meanwhile, the Chairman of KONI Bali Province, I Gusti Ngurah Oka Darmawan, stated that producing successful athletes is a long and structured process. Moreover, this process requires adequate funding support.
Therefore, achieving champions requires synergy among all components, including support from the government. On this occasion, the Chairman of PERTINA Bali for the 2025–2029 term, Made Muliawan Arya, along with 80 other board members, was inaugurated by the Chairman of PP PERTINA, Major General TNI (Ret.) Dr. Komaruddin Simanjuntak.
As a form of support for PERTINA Bali, Vice Governor Giri Prasta provided a development fund of IDR 50 million, which was received directly by Made Muliawan, who is also known as De Gadjah.***
