Ngurah Rai Airport Serves 344,554 Passengers During Eid al-Adha

ibnchannel.id – PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Branch, recorded positive performance during the long weekend holiday period of Eid al-Adha 1446 H. Between June 5–9, the airport served a total of 344,554 passengers. The actual passenger volume exceeded the projected traffic by 1.5%, which was initially estimated at 339,523 passengers.

During this long weekend period, the passenger breakdown included 119,775 domestic passengers and 224,779 international passengers. The number of arriving passengers was higher than departing passengers, with 61,672 domestic arrivals and 114,322 international arrivals, bringing the total number of arriving passengers to 175,994, or 51% of the total passengers. The highest number of arriving passengers occurred on Friday, June 6, 2025, with 38,922 passengers (both domestic and international).

In terms of departing passengers, the peak occurred on Monday, June 9, 2025, coinciding with the return travel period, with 37,883 departing passengers. Over the five-day period, the highest overall passenger movement also occurred on the same day, with a total of 72,875 passengers, both domestic and international.

Wahyudi, Acting General Manager of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, stated that long weekends continue to contribute positively to increasing passenger numbers at the airport.

“We have observed that long weekends have consistently had a positive impact on increasing passenger traffic. Compared to the same period in 2024, when we served 321,596 passengers, this year we served over 344 thousand passengersbetween June 5 and June 9, reflecting a 7% increase. Similarly, aircraft traffic also grew. Last year there were 1,860 aircraft movements, while this year it reached 2,020 movements, an 8% increase,” Wahyudi explained.

He added that the growth in passenger and flight movements would be used for further evaluation, especially as the school holiday season approaches, which is expected to bring even higher numbers of tourists to Bali.

“We are grateful that even with the increase in passenger and aircraft volumes, overall airport operations were managed smoothly and efficiently. Moving forward, we will continue to optimize the planning and management of airport services to ensure that we meet the service standards expected by all airport users,” he concluded.***
