ibnchannel.id – A motorcyclist fell into a ravine on Wednesday (June 4, 2025). The incident occurred on the connecting bridge between Perean Village and Tua Village, Baturiti District, Tabanan Regency. The victim was identified as Mikhdad Ikhsan Fahmi (21), whose ID card listed his address in Tamansari Village, Curah Pinang Hamlet RT 1/7, Jember Regency, East Java.
The tragic incident was reported to the Denpasar Search and Rescue Office today, Friday (June 6, 2025) at 11:35 WITA, by the Baturiti Police Chief. It was initially suspected that the victim had fallen into the ravine after his damaged motorcycle was found at the edge of the cliff.
In response to the incident, 7 personnel from the Denpasar Search and Rescue Office, based in Jimbaran, were deployed. Upon arrival at the scene, the joint SAR team immediately coordinated to divide tasks. One rescuer was lowered using rappelling techniques to the suspected location of the victim but found nothing.
The team then moved to the other side of the bridge, where two personnel were lowered and successfully found the victim. Due to the victim’s large body size and the position of the body being trapped between rocks, the team faced difficulties in extracting the body. An additional rescuer was deployed to assist with the evacuation.
“We managed to find the victim at 3:00 PM WITA, at the bottom of the ravine, in the river,” explained Agus Pradnyana, the field coordinator. The depth of the ravine was estimated to be about 50 meters from the top of the bridge. The evacuation process took approximately one hour. The victim’s body was then transported to Tabanan Regional Hospital using an ambulance provided by the Darusalam Foundation.
The SAR operation involved personnel from the Denpasar Search and Rescue Office, Baturiti Police, Tabanan Police Sabhara Unit, Tabanan Regency BPBD, Bali Police Dit. Samapta, the victim’s family, and local residents.***
