ibnchannel.id – The SAR (Search and Rescue) team is still searching for a missing resident of Banjar Dauh Tukad, Pengeragoan Village, Pekutatan District, Jembrana, on Friday (May 30, 2025). The missing person, 79-year-old Wayan Mender, had left his home to go farming on Wednesday (May 28, 2025).
The incident was only reported to the Denpasar Search and Rescue Office on Thursday (May 29, 2025) at 4:50 PM WITA by the village head of Badung Kayu, Teddy Pratama. “Wayan Mender was last seen by local residents on Wednesday around 6:00 PM,” said I Nyoman Sidakarya, Head of the Denpasar Search and Rescue Office.
Last night, four personnel from the Jembrana Search and Rescue Post coordinated with the victim’s family and local residents.
According to the family’s testimony, the elderly man was wearing a black shirt and blue shorts when he left.
“From our coordination last night, it was confirmed that the victim has poor eyesight, impaired hearing, and symptoms of memory loss,” added Sidakarya.
Today, the joint SAR team plans to conduct a search around the farmland covering an area of approximately 2.6 km². SAR units involved include the Jembrana SAR Post, Pekutatan Police, Jembrana BPBD, Jembrana PMI, the village police (Bhabinkamtibmas) of Pengeragoan, SAR volunteers from 115, the victim’s relatives, and local residents.***
