ibnchannel.id – Putri Koster encouraged the younger generation of Bali to continuously preserve Balinese arts and traditions. She conveyed this message while participating in a joint rehearsal with the Gong Ensemble (Sakaa Gong) of SMKN 5 Denpasar at the school auditorium on Monday (May 26).
The former actress of TVRI Bali’s classic dramas is known to be taking part in the Pancasila Carnival and Archipelago Cultural Performance “Grandfather’s House Festival 2025”, which will be held on June 1, 2025.
“To the children, I say this: don’t be afraid to engage in the arts, because the good news is that the Governor of Bali is currently designing the Bali Cultural Center,” she explained.
She shared that the Bali Cultural Center (PKB), which spans 326 hectares with a core zone of 37 hectares, will be equipped with 12 art stages. In the future, Balinese artists, including the younger generation, will be able to perform their artistic works on these stages.
“Let’s not build stages only to have others dance on them. It should be our children who fill those stages,” said the companion of Bali’s top official.
In addition, as the Ambassador of Source-Based Waste Management (PSBS PADAS – Palemahan Kelas), Ny. Putri Koster also urged the attending students to be aware of their responsibility in managing the waste they produce. Waste should be managed based on its source, such as: kitchen waste that can be processed into eco-enzyme using the Tong Edan system; organic waste that can be turned into compost through the Teba Modern system; and inorganic and residual waste that should be taken to TPS3R or TPST facilities.
“For 41 years, we’ve been handling waste incorrectly, which led to Suwung Village becoming a victim. When I went there, I felt heartbroken. Let’s not allow other villages to become the next Suwung,” she stated.
Meanwhile, the Principal of SMKN 5 Denpasar, I Made Budi Astika, said that the students were very excited about the opportunity to collaborate with Ny. Putri Koster. He also expressed his gratitude to the Bali Provincial Government for consistently providing opportunities for SMKN 5 Denpasar students to perform and take part in various government-organized events and activities.***
