ibnchannel.id – Peninsula Island, located in The Nusa Dua area, is the location for Kartini Fest 2025 which will last for two days from May 2-3, 2025. The festival held by Gloria Petasindo features a variety of cultural and entertainment agendas, and is enlivened by the presence of Miss Universe Asia 2025.
Kartini Fest 2025 is held as a form of appreciation for women’s contributions in preserving culture and strengthening the local economy. During the two days of the event, this event features an endek cloth fashion show, an exhibition of MSMEs managed by women, and a music concert featuring a line-up of national artists such as Judika, Slank, Vierratale, JKT48, Bagus Wirata, and Tika Pagraky, who perform alternately.
General Manager of The Nusa Dua, Made Dwiatmika said, “We are very pleased that The Nusa Dua area is the location for a cultural celebration for Asian women. This event not only highlights local culture, but also has a positive impact on tourist visits and the performance of the tourism sector,” he explained.
In order to accommodate the high enthusiasm of the community and tourists, parking facilities with a capacity of up to 3,000 vehicles are spread across a number of strategic points in The Nusa Dua area, such as Central Parking, New Parking SPKLU, in front of Pos AC, The Bay, Sogo, Nusa Dharma (north of Devdan), and the ITDC Office The Nusa Dua.
With the theme “Women Weave Culture, Embroider the Future”, Kartini Fest is presented as a form of respect for the fighting spirit of R.A. Kartini who surpassed her time—a woman who dared to voice equality and fight for access to education and social roles for women. “Kartini’s spirit is reflected in a series of activities that combine culture, creativity, and women’s empowerment, in line with ITDC’s commitment to creating inclusive spaces in the areas it manages.” Made Dwiatmika added.
Gloria Pentasindo President Director, Erma Yunita, said, “Kartini Fest 2025 successfully showcased the uniqueness of Balinese culture through the use of endek woven fabric by 30 finalists of Miss Universe Asia 2025. Collaboration with Dekranasda Bali also succeeded in strengthening the cultural message in this event, considering that the institution has consistently promoted Balinese Endek fabric—a cultural heritage based on local wisdom created by Balinese women—to be known on the international fashion stage.”
Kartini Fest 2025, which also presented Miss Universe Asia 2025, is a symbol of synergy between cultural preservation, women’s empowerment, and strengthening the tourism sector. The holding of this event strengthens The Nusa Dua’s position as a sustainable tourism area, in line with ITDC’s commitment to continue to make The Nusa Dua a stage for various quality events at national and international levels.***
